Young & Talented recipients attend Anthropy 2026

We were delighted to attend Anthropy 2026, held in the incredible setting of the Eden Project. Anthropy brings together leaders from across the country to connect, discuss, and debate the key issues of our time, while also creating space for emerging voices to be heard.
We were especially pleased to offer two young people the opportunity to attend. Representing Young & Talented Cornwall were Kitty Crocker, a singer-songwriter who was also invited to perform at the event, and Connor Riley, a Spirit of Trevithick grant recipient, who shared his reflections from the day:
It was a privilege to attend Anthropy26 at the Eden Project recently, joining over 2,000 attendees all focused on the shared goal of driving positive change across Britain. The scale of the gathering was truly impressive, and with five to ten sessions running simultaneously at any given time, the environment was fast-paced and high-energy. It required a very strategic approach to the agenda to navigate the broad range of discussions, which featured a particularly strong emphasis on the intersection of national politics and our environmental responsibilities.
The sheer variety of voices present made for a unique atmosphere of collaboration. While the schedule was initially a bit overwhelming due to the depth of the programming, it provided an unparalleled opportunity to engage with people from entirely different sectors who are all looking to solve the same complex challenges. It was clear throughout the event that the focus remained on actionable change rather than just high-level discussion.
One of the most impactful elements of Anthropy was the massive focus on the Emerging Leaders program. It was refreshing to see such a genuine commitment to championing new voices and fresh perspectives alongside established figures. The organizers clearly demonstrated that Anthropy is a forward-looking platform, moving far beyond the traditional “old boys’ club” dynamic to focus on inclusive, long-term stewardship. By bringing together such a diverse group, they proved that the conversation about our future is open to everyone.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have participated in such a significant national conversation and to have represented Young & Talented Cornwall. The experience provided invaluable insights and several new connections that I am eager to follow up on. I would welcome the opportunity to build on this momentum and attend the event again next year.
Thank you to Anthropy for making this experience possible for our recipients and including younger voices in the conversation.
