Hall for Cornwall

From sportspeople to performers, writers to engineers, YT20 will bring together an inspiring group of alumni whose achievements have been supported, in part, by the early help they received from Young & Talented Cornwall.

Among the notable past recipients are British pole vaulter Molly Caudery and four-time Olympian Helen Glover. Other alumni include England rugby union player Luke Cowan-Dickie, double bassist Edward Francis-Smith—now performing with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York—BMX European Cup Champion Sienna Harvey, and Para Lions footballer Matt Robinson. All former awardees are invited to attend and take part in the celebration.

YT20 will be a dynamic showcase of the exceptional talent that continues to emerge from Cornwall. Featuring a range of live performances and exhibitions, the event is designed to engage school students and community groups from across the county, aiming to spark imagination and demonstrate the power of opportunity.

To support the development of this event, Arts Council England has awarded Young & Talented Cornwall a £19,000 project grant, made possible by the National Lottery. The funding will be used to commission new work by choreographer Theo Clinkard, writer Anna Maria Murphy, and composer Jim Carey. These creative professionals will collaborate with current Young & Talented Cornwall award recipients to produce original pieces for the event.

This project is also made possible through the generous support of Cornish Metals and St. Eval.
