Who we are

We are Young & Talented Cornwall - the Lord Lieutenant’s Fund. We want to help talented under 23-year olds in Cornwall reach their potential and realise their dreams.

We are proud to have been providing support to talented under-23s in the county since 2005 when the fund was launched by the then Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall Lady Mary Holborow and Vice Lord Lieutenant Michael Galsworthy.

Today, the fund is under the stewardship of the current Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall – Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE who says, “Since taking over as Lord Lieutenant in September 2011, I have been hugely impressed not only by the imagination and hard work of my predecessor in setting it up but by the dedication of those who run it and the generosity of those who have given financial support.  I am in awe of the exceptional drive and talent of those young people the fund has been able to help strive to achieve their goals, whether in the world of sport, music, dance or other fields.”

“With the continuing support and goodwill of as many as possible, I have no doubt that the fund will go from strength to strength and we will be helping the next generation to achieve their true potential and realise their dreams.”
