Barnaby crowned UK Under 18s Pro Surf Champion with help from Young & Talented Cornwall

Cornwall’s Barnaby Cox, one of the UK’s top up and coming surfers, has won last year’s 2018 UK Pro Surf Tour Under 18s Championship.  At the age of 17, Barnaby has already surfed at an international level, competing at events around Europe in the under 18s, and placing 9th in the 2018 European Championships.  He is a member of the Surfing England Team as well as being the International Surfing Association’s UK representative.

The Young & Talented Cornwall grant panel awarded £1,250 to Barnaby in 2018 to support his equipment and competition costs.  Barnaby’s ambition is to represent the UK on the European Circuit and he needs to surf in top competitions to develop his skills.
