Hitting the Mark: Saffron’s Archery Journey

Thanks to support from Young and Talented Cornwall, talented young archer Saffron Knowles has been able to train with Archery GB at their national headquarters in Lilleshall. This has given her access to world-class coaching and facilities, significantly improving her performance and competition results.

Living in Cornwall means long journeys and additional travel demands to access elite training, but Saffron has shown exceptional commitment and resilience in overcoming these challenges. Over the past year, she has broken three national records in the Under 16 Ladies category and achieved outstanding national rankings, including 1st in Under 15s and 8th in Under 21 Ladies at just 14 years old.

Alongside her own success, Saffron gives back to her local community by helping on beginner courses at St Austell Bay Archers, inspiring more young people in Cornwall to take up the sport.
