Seren’s Musical Theatre Journey

Posted on 8th January 2026 by

We’re delighted to share an update from Seren, who received funding from Young & Talented Cornwall in 2024 and recently got back in touch to tell us how this support has helped her take the next exciting steps in her musical theatre journey.

Thanks to the funding she received, Seren has been able to focus on developing her skills and pursuing new opportunities and the results have been nothing short of inspiring.

A Place at a Leading Musical Theatre Academy

Seren has successfully auditioned for one of just 55 places at the prestigious Emil Dale Academy for Musical Theatre, where she will begin sixth form this September. Securing a place at such a competitive academy is a huge achievement and a testament to her talent, dedication, and hard work.

Performing on a West End Tour

Adding to an already remarkable year, Seren recently had the opportunity to sing a solo during the Kerry Ellis Queen of the West End tour when it came to Plymouth. Sharing the stage on such a high-profile tour is an unforgettable experience and an important milestone in her performance career.

Competition Success

Seren has also enjoyed outstanding success in dance competitions, placing first in multiple All England Dance Festivals in the Musical Theatre category. She has now qualified for regionals this year, another fantastic accomplishment that highlights her versatility as a performer.
