THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CORNWALL MEET YOUNG & TALENTED CORNWALL RECIPIENTS

Some of our recent Young & Talented Cornwall recipients were honoured to meet TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales during their first visit to the county since they became the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.

Cello player Imogen Dowse, pentathlete Daisy Hassell, rower Evie DuCros, Paralympic athlete Fabio Zamparelli and talented dinghy sailor Poppy Luxton all met Their Royal Highnesses at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall as part of a programme of activities in February 2023.

Colonel Edward Bolitho, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall and Chair of Young & Talented Cornwall said, “What an honour for some of Cornwall’s exceptional young talent to meet TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. Geography, financial hardship and personal circumstance can often seem like insurmountable hurdles and over the last 18 years Young & Talented Cornwall has granted in excess of £340,000 to Cornwall’s brightest prospects. Their Royal Highnesses were I am sure hugely impressed and inspired by these shining examples of the skill, dedication, persistence and potential of Cornwall’s youth. It was a very proud moment.”
