This book could change your life…

… just as the Young & Talented Cornwall Fund helped Helen Glover begin hers.

As part of our 20 year celebration in 2025, we created a book to showcase the breadth of impact of Young & Talented Cornwall, including stories of our Alumni, the network of generosity around us, and how the fund is changing lives.

Our brightest and best young people are the leaders of tomorrow. Their example will encourage others and will be vital for our nation in years to come. So, it is hugely important that we encourage and celebrate their success. And this is what Young & Talented Cornwall, The Lord-Lieutenant’s Fund, has been doing so well for the past 20 years. The Fund has given out almost £600,000 to some 450 individuals during that time to help them achieve their ambition and realise their potential. Results have been spectacular. Our alumni include musicians and dancers performing at the highest levels, potential authors and scientists of the future. The range of activities supported has been truly extraordinary.

It is always a great pleasure to meet those who get the grants. Their enthusiasm, skill and determination is both inspiring and humbling and it has been such a privilege for all of us involved with the Fund to follow these ignited careers. But nothing would have been achieved without the extraordinary generosity of so many donors and supporters over the years.
